The Cigna Scholars program is designed with the objective of enhancing accessibility to higher education for underrepresented students within the UCONN Computer Science/Computer Science & Engineering (CS/CSE) programs, by alleviating the financial constraints that may impede their pursuits. This distinguished scholarship, totaling $10,000 annually, will be disbursed in two equal installments of $5,000 each and ensuring sustained support throughout the entirety of a student’s four-year degree at UCONN.
Application and Prerequisites
The prerequisites for scholarship continuity involves the enrollment within the UCONN College of Engineering and the maintenance of good academic standing, therefore underscoring the program’s commitment to fostering both educational excellence and financial support.
To be eligible to apply you must be a first year CS/CSE students who has financial need and who:
- Has overcome obstacles such as socioeconomic or educational disadvantage
- Or is a member of group that are underrepresented at UConn School of Engineering
- Or have had experience living or working in diverse environments

TECDP Program
The Cigna Group also offers their summer internship program called “Technology Development Program (TECDP)”.
