Jerri Robinson, a multifaceted leader with an unwavering commitment to education and community service, currently serves as the VII Director of K-12 Initiatives at the University of Connecticut. A mother, mentor, singer, and coach, Jerri is widely recognized for her tenacity and her profound impact on those around her. Her journey, marked by resilience through hardship and tribulation, has made her a beacon of hope and inspiration.
Jerri has become a well-known figure globally as she has been afforded the ability to inspire and uplift through her public speaking platforms. Her passion for mentoring led her to establish The World Changers Network, a platform dedicated to mentoring, training and advising both men and women, borne out of her own experiences of overcoming adversity.
Raised in the foster care system from the age of five until twenty-one, Jerri's story is a testament to overcoming life's challenges and using them as a foundation to support and inspire others. Her dedication to helping others has brought her to major platforms and continues to open doors for her to share her message of hope and encouragement.
Jerri holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Management & Finance from Walden University, and a certification as a Certified Life Coach from The John Maxwell Institute. She has been recognized and honored by the NY Borough President for her contributions to the community and for her role as a leader for the next generation.
At the University of Connecticut, Jerri leverages her extensive background and profound commitment to community to lead and innovate in the realm of K-12 education, inspiring students and educators alike. Jerri brings over 15 years of experience working in the non-profit sector to her role at UCONN. This extensive background has equipped her with a deep understanding of organizational management, community engagement, and strategic development. Her experience in the non-profit world has honed her skills in creating impactful programs, fostering collaborative partnerships, and driving mission-driven initiatives. These skills are invaluable as she leads K-12 Initiatives, ensuring that the programs not only meet educational standards but also address the holistic and diverse needs of students and their communities.
