Dr Andri Christodoulidou is a Visiting Assistant Professor in the College of Engineering. Andri holds an MPhil in Educational Research Methods and PhD in Education from the University of Cambridge, UK. Her PhD research at the University of Cambridge was funded by the prestigious Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) grant, awarded on proposal competition. Her study employed mixed methods and innovative approaches to understand complex concepts and evaluate the validity of a newly developed Psychometric method. Andri presented her research at major external peer-reviewed conferences, such as the British Educational Research Association (BERA), the Association for Psychological Science (APS) and the European Association for Research on Learning and Instruction (EARLI), and at the University of Cambridge research conference “Kaleidoscope”.
At UConn, she has transferred her research skills to assess the impact of the Vergnano Institute’s educational programs. In her position as the Director of Impact Assessment, she designs research plans, identifies, and develops appropriate methods to evaluate the impact of the Institute’s educational one -day and residential programs, including BRIDGE. In addition to surveys, scales and interviews, her work includes employing Institutional Research data to monitor retention and degree completion rates of targeted groups.
She collaborates with faculty on assessment of College’s various educational programs. She is currently part of an NSF-IGE award leadership team that focuses on developing and evaluating the impact of an innovative entrepreneurial training program with graduate STEM students.
