Separation Technologies

Electrospray technology has transformed the field of separation technologies by enabling the production of ultra-thin, high-performance membranes for water, gas, and ion exchange applications. Unlike traditional manufacturing methods, which have remained largely unchanged for over 40 years, electrospray leverages novel materials and innovative processes to overcome the limitations of conventional techniques.

This project focuses on developing advanced membranes specifically designed for water treatment, gas separation, and ion exchange, utilizing cutting-edge materials that were previously unsuitable for traditional manufacturing. By harnessing the precision and versatility of electrospray, we aim to create membranes with superior separation efficiency, durability, and scalability, paving the way for next-generation solutions.

Understanding IoT
Cybersecurity Perception Risks

The research project focused on human factors in cybersecurity and risk communication in the context of IoT devices (e.g., Amazon Alexa, Smart indoor video camera). This will allow the student to get involved with exciting research projects with an impact on national security and learn about cutting edge research focusing on human factors in cybersecurity. This is a great opportunity to improve communication, writing, and presentation skills.
